Misha Penton: Sapphire ... Wind

from RANU 1 by Steve Gisby

The story Misha sent me...

I chose the word “sapphire” because of the color and the idea of a gem or stone. I sometimes use the word in my own poetics and voice works because I think it’s sonorously beautiful.

I chose “wind” because of its relationship to breath and to inspiration: from the Latin inspirare to "blow into, breathe upon” and pneuma: from the Greek pneuma "blowing, a wind, breath, scent, spirit.”
